When people pay for a service and a product that is meant to deliver and perform in a certain way, it is only right they will feel disappointed. Like you, we are consumers too and understand the frustration felt when our concerns are not recognized, Mindful of this, we listen to what the problems are and react positively to ensure they can be resolved.

Part of a successful resolution is in understanding exactly what has gone wrong and where the errors have occurred. Through this, we will be able to work with you to find the best possible solution for you and us, in as quick a time as possible.

In order to ensure that any problems are dealt with quickly, we make the Zenith Windows complaints process very easy. All queries received by our team are dealt with as promptly and sympathetically as possible, whilst we will also endeavour to supply a timeframe for when any mistakes can expect to be rectified. If this is not possible, other positive steps will be taken where appropriate.

Further than this, all details of the issue will be logged and recorded, in order that both parties have something to reference back to should it be necessary. Once rectified to the satisfaction of both parties, we will also endeavour to follow up to ensure there is nothing else that needs addressing.

Door County, Wisconsin: Quaint Towns and Scenic Beauty

Author: John Pelley

Door County, Wisconsin is the playground for the well-to-do from the Chicago area.  It is a peninsula jutting out into Lake Michigan with many resort towns teeming with tourists.

We had an uneventful drive to Door County and set up camp at Harbor Village Resort in Carlsville, Winconsin. This boasts two solar panel heated swimming pools, one with two water slides. The latter closed after Labor Day. When we registered we asked where we might get a satellite signal. The lady said at the far end. We started driving, looking for a site. All we saw were trees. Then the vista opened to open farmland. We had reached Nirvana. We had access to the satellite. Oh the simple pleasures of life.

Took the mandatory trip to Gills Rock (the northern tip of the peninsula), since neither of us had ever been to Door County. The peninsula is on a fragile ecosystem of limestone. Some areas have only two or three inches of topsoil, making farming or development difficult. People, however, want a piece of this beautiful countryside admist the fruit orchards, land and seascapes. So the area has been overdeveloped, tilting the delicate balance to problem levels.

On to the tour. First is Egg Harbor, so named from the "Battle of the Eggs". In 1825 a group of men from Green Bay (disgruntled Packer fans) sailed into the harbor and waged an egg throwing fight. Sounds like some of the picnics I've attended. Egg Harbor is picturesque town with antique shops, artist galleries and numerous resorts. With a population of only 200, the town has two golf courses.

Just North of Egg Harbor is a road, which leads to The Peninsula Players Theater. We had heard of them, because some of the actors from Chicago have made appearances there. When we arrived at the box office, which is situated on Green Bay, noted for beautiful sunsets, we found out that they were putting on "The Foreigner" with David New from Steppenwolf and William Norris from Goodman Theater. We purchased tickets for Thursday night.

On to Fish Creek, another quaint town filled with senior citizens crowding the sidewalks on the main street. Like Egg Harbor, the businesses in town cater to the tourists. Next come Sister Bay, Ephraim and Ellison Bay, which are more resort towns, each one a little different.  Each one offers spectacular vistas of the Green Bay coast.

The further North we went, the fewer tourists we met. We arrived at Gills Rock, the terminus of the ferry to Washington Island. Gills Rock also has a maritime museum, albeit small, but very interesting. I never realized that Lake Michigan had a thriving whitefish fishing industry. The fish have gone further out in the lake and are at greater depths now than the laws for commercial fishing allow: smart fish.

We made the return trip to our campground via the Lake Michigan shore, going through Baileys Harbor. This side of the peninsula is less developed than the Green Bay side. Whereas the Green Bay coast is rugged and hilly, the Lake Michigan shore is sandy flatlands.

Harper's Ferry, West Virginia: John Brown's Raid

Author: John Pelley

Harpers Ferry, West Virginia is situated in a deep valley at the confluence of the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers.  George Washington thought it to be the perfect place to have the Southern Arsenal and armory.  It became a very industrial town with over three thousand inhabitants making rifles and ammunition.

In 1859 John Brown and twenty-one associates took the town, hoping that the slaves would rebel against their masters.  His was an ill-fated move for two reasons.  First you cannot hold a town of three thousand angry residents with only twenty-one men.  Second, the slaves did not take the bait. Colonel RE Lee and J.E.B Stuart came with the US Marines to retake the town.  Jeb went to Brown's makeshift fort, the fire station, with papers for surrender.  When Brown refused Jeb threw down his ornate hat as a sign to attack.  The rest is history.

When Virginia seceded from the Union, the governor wanted to take over the arsenal at Harpers Ferry.  Commander Jones, the commandant of the arsenal, had other plans.  He blew up the place and destroyed most of the weapons and ammo.  Because the primary industry was gone, the population of the town dropped to three hundred, which it is today.  The town today is a combination of historical park and actual working town, whose major industry today is tourism.  Young people in period dress give living history in many of the buildings in the historical park.

During the war, Harpers Ferry was a strategic property.  It was at the northern edge of the southern breadbasket, the Shenandoah Valley and the entrance to the northern states of Maryland and Pennsylvania and only forty miles from Washington DC.  Jackson said that he would rater take Harpers Ferry ten times rather than defend it one time.  It was impossible to defend.

Two days after the CSA took Harpers Ferry the bloodiest one day battle of the war took place a short seventeen miles to the north at a creek called Antietam, or the town of Sharpsburg.

Dodge City, Kansas: Cattle and the Santa Fe Trail

Author: John Pelley

Dodge City is the home of Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday, Bat Masterson, Miss Kitty, Chester and Matt Dillon.  Boot Hill is still there, but part of it has been made into a reconstruction of Front Street with the Long Branch Saloon, and other buildings of note.  The original Front Street still exists and is a thriving avenue of shops. Dodge City is still the cattle city of yore.  Instead of arriving by drives with cowboys astride their horses, the cattle now come behind Peterbuilts with modern day cowpokes sitting on the drivers seat and the cattle lowing in the trailer pulled behind.  Their destination is the two slaughterhouses in town and finally to my dinner table.

I was shocked by the great number of Mexican restaurants on the South side of town.  I had left San Antonio the previous day, but thought I was still in Texas.  I came to realize that the Arkansas River, which runs through town was the border between Mexico and the USA until 1848 when we hijacked the territory from Mexico under the guise of Manifest Destiny (a sad situation still haunting us today).  Orientals also have an enclave in Dodge, having been imported as the labor force for the railroads in the 1800s.  The BNSF still plays an important role in the life and economy of this fabled Western city.

An important event was happening during my short stay: one leg of an endurance race.  Late in the 19th century an endurance race occurred between St. Joseph, Missouri and Santa Fe, New Mexico. To qualify, a rider and horse had to participate on one of the preliminary races, one being held that day.  I did not wake up early to send the riders off: one of the perks of being retired.

Took a short drive to Fort Dodge, about nine miles East of Dodge City.  This was built to guard the travelers along the Santa Fe Trail.  Because they were built with brick, many of the building are still used today.  It is a small community with tree lined streets, named after some of the officers stationed there.

On our way West out of Dodge City, we stopped for a few minutes to see the remnants of the old Santa Fe trail. The wagon ruts are still visible in the prairie sod.  What was also interesting is that there are more than one trail.  This makes sense because heavy rains and mud might make the main trail unusable.  So the wagons moved twenty or thirty feet on either side

Theater in San Francisco Kids Will Enjoy

Author: Karen Merring

There's really just something about a live performance you can't beat. It's why people will pay big bucks to hear their favorite artists in a concert, even though they've already memorized all the songs. It's also why your kids may pay attention to a musical or theater performance when they can't sit still through an entire movie at the movie theater. If you want a place for your kids to enjoy theater, San Francisco has lots of options. From Shakespeare to classical children's stories to dance performances, kids can enjoy all the options San Francisco has to offer. Here are just two of those options that your family might enjoy:

Presidio Dance Theater

Little kids are absolutely fascinated with movement and the way bodies can flex and bend. From the time we're infants, we're trained to notice how the human body works in fluid motion. This is why dance theater is definitely a good option for little ones – whether they're watching it or performing in it. The Presidio Dance Theater offers classes for young dancers but also offers many performances that are interesting for the whole family.

The signature performance for Presidio is called Dance Across Cultures. It's a colorful array of cultural dances and costumes that parade across the stage to the delight of adults and children alike. The dances are set to appropriate music, as well. Music and dance can truly express the values of a culture, so watching them on the stage is a great way to learn more about our neighbors around the world.

The Presidio Dance Theater performs around the world and in many places around the Bay Area. For those who wish to dance seriously, the theater has great dance performance classes, which allow students to begin at a young age. Students who work hard and perform well will have the opportunity to travel internationally with the dance company and to experience a variety of cultures first hand while they perform Dance Across the Cultures and other acts for people all around the world.

Beach Blanket Babylon

This interesting cabaret style performance has long been a San Francisco institution. It's been around since 1974, and the show has constantly evolved to comment on pop culture and politics for every generation since. The show is known for its wild hats – some of which are literally four feet tall or more! – and its zany, unconventional attitude. The show is mainly a spoof of the many characters and attitudes we meet in everyday life as Americans, and it's constantly adding new material based on the latest celebrities and politicians.
Although it's a bit racy at times, Beach Blanket Babylon can actually be a fun performance for older children. Those who are old enough to understand at least part of what the shows are poking fun at and to understand the point of satire could really get a kick out of these shows. Even when the humor goes over the heads of the younger ones, they'll still laugh at the crazy antics and ridiculous hats.

Beach Blanket Babylon isn't really geared towards families, and children aren't allowed throughout the week. However, on Sundays, the show puts on a family friendly performance where children are allowed. It's definitely a good idea to screen the shows content to make sure your kids can handle it. If they can, this is a fun family opportunity for some laughs and an interesting evening of satire and jokes.

Experience Mexicos Longest River, the Rio Bravo del Norte!

Author: Michael Ortiz

Most Americans are relatively familiar with the Rio Grande, which forms a part of the border between the U.S. and Mexico. South of the border, the river is known as the Rio Bravo del Norte. As the longest river in Mexico, the Rio Bravo del Norte gets its own fair share of attention. If you've never actually seen it, though, you're definitely missing out. Go online and buy yourself some Mexican insurance. With your Mexico car insurance in hand, hit the road for the Rio Bravo del Norte. A great place to see and cross the river is at Ojinaga, Chihuahua; on the other side of the river is Presidio, Texas.

Why Visit the Rio Bravo del Norte?

You may be unsure about buying Mexican insurance auto liability coverage simply for visiting a river. After all, you can just as easily see the Rio Grande from the Texas side of the river. However, viewing the river from the U.S. side just isn't the same. By driving to Presidio and crossing the river into Ojinaga, you can get a taste for what Mexico is like while taking in this breathtaking river. Another river, the Rio Conchos, drains into the Rio Bravo here, too. When you take in the sight of the Rio Bravo del Norte, you'll be glad that you bought yourself cheap car insurance for Mexico.

The Land of Norteno Music

Some of the most famous music from Mexico is called norteno music. In addition for its proximity to the Rio Bravo del Norte, Ojinaga is most famous for producing some of the world's foremost norteno music. Popular musicians like Adolfo Urias and Polo Urias have hailed from this unique town. People enjoy visiting Ojinaga not just for its spectacular views of the mighty river, but for its relatively undeveloped nature. Compared with many other border towns, Ojinaga is unassuming and peaceful.

A River That is Steeped in Amazing History

The main reason that so many Americans are familiar with the Rio Grande is because of its infamy in border-related issues. Illegal immigrants have been crossing the river for years in order to gain entry into the United States. By checking out the Rio Bravo del Norte for yourself, you can get a better feel for what those illegal immigrants put themselves through in order to get into the U.S. The river may not be riddled with rapids and may not look terribly imposing; in reality, though, its huge size makes it a beast to conquer.
